Chapter one · my story

A biology degree, a preschool, and a fresh start in Florida.

I always dreamed of being a stay-at-home mom, but I never believed it would be financially possible. So I did what I thought I was supposed to do — I earned my Biology degree and started exploring science labs.

It didn't take long to realize that path wasn't mine. Around the same time, my husband and I made a big leap and moved from New Jersey down to Florida for a fresh start.

When I became a mom, I took a job as the Assistant Director at a local preschool — not because I'd planned to, but because it was the one place that let me bring my daughter to work with me. For a season, it felt like I'd figured it out.

Chapter two

Why I had to
leave my career.

Then my oldest daughter became extremely sick — RSV, very high fevers, more than one hospital visit. Within two months, I had already used every sick day I had.

Every new illness turned into the same impossible choice: bring my sick baby to preschool around other children, or lose another day's pay because I had nothing left to give.

When I became pregnant with my second daughter, I knew — deep down — that our family needed something different.

I couldn't keep choosing between a paycheck and being there when my daughter needed me.

After she was born, I didn't return to work. My girls needed me at home.

Chapter three

The moment
everything changed.

Staying home wasn't easy financially. We still needed income — and I wasn't trying to become an influencer or get rich. I just needed another option.

So I started searching for flexible skills I could build from home, late at night with a sleeping baby on my chest.

That search introduced me to digital marketing — a whole world of teachable, modern skills I could learn at my own kitchen table, in my own time.

"I wasn't looking for a shortcut. I was looking for a skill set — something real I could keep building for the rest of my life."

What this has given me.

This journey didn't make life perfect overnight, but it gave me something I never had before — options. Instead of relying on one paycheck, I'm building skills I can take with me anywhere.

Chapter five

A day in my life.

No hustle. No 5 am cold plunges. Just a rhythm that finally fits our family.

Morning

Simply being Mom.

Most mornings I'm simply being Mom — making breakfast, playing with my toddler, caring for my baby, cleaning up little messes, and enjoying this season of life while my girls are little.

During naps

A quiet hour with my laptop.

When one or both girls are sleeping, I open my laptop. This is when I answer messages, create content, continue learning, or work on my business. Some days I have 20 minutes. Some days I have two hours. I simply work with the time I have.

Afternoon

Together, unhurried.

Our afternoons are usually filled with toddler activities, errands, parks, or simply spending time together. My business fits around my family — not the other way around.

Evening

A little work, on my terms.

If I still have work to finish, I'll work for a little while after my husband gets home or once the girls are asleep. The flexibility is what I love most.
